75% over 500 marks and x% over 100 marks gave 68% average percentage.

w1/w2 = (A2 - Aavg) / (Aavg - A1)

500/100 = (x - 68) / (68 - 75)

x = 33%

75*500/100 = x

now
let viva marks be v
so
v+375/600 = 68/100
solve for v = 33

% of Scores obtained:

1) Written test = 75%
2) Viva = x % (Let "x" be the percentage of the score in the Viva)
3) Overall Percentage = 68%

Maximum possible scores:

1) Written test = 500
2) Viva = 100
3) Overall = 600

Scores Obtained:

1) Written test: 75% of 500 = \(\frac{75}{100}*500\) = \(\frac{3}{4}*500\) = 125*3 = 375

2) Viva = x % of 100 = \(\frac{x}{100}*100\) = x

3) Overall = 68% of 600 = \(\frac{68}{100}*600\) = 68*6 = 408

We know that,

Overall score = Score obtained in Written test + Score obtained in Viva

408 = 375 + x

x= 408 - 375 = 33

We need to find the percentage of marks scored in the Viva i.e. x %. So the answer is 33%.

The correct answer is option Number 4 (33%).
