Given:
Average age of three friends A, B and C is 7 years

(A+B+C)/3 = 7
Thus, A+B+C = 21

Five years later:
(A+5)+(C+5)/2 = (A+C+10)/2

(A+C+10)/2 = 1.5+B+5

A+C+10 = 2*(1.5+B+5) = 13+2B

A+C = 3+2B

As A+B+C = 21 => (3+2B)+B = 21
=> 3B = 18
=> B = 6

Thus, the age of B 10 years later = 10+6 = 16 years

Hence, the correct option is Option (D) 16 (Answer)

given avg of a,b,c as 7 so after 5 years the avg increase by 5 so it will be 7+5= 12 now to get total sum we have multiply by 3 as A+5+B+5+C+5/3=12 after 5 years intially they were A+B+C=12*3-15=21 which is same as A+B+C/3=7, focus now on the realtionship between a,b,c after 5 years it is (A+5+C+5)/2=3/2+(B+5) solve it and you will get A+C=3+2B now substitute in (A+5+B+5+C+5)/3=12 you will get 3+3B=21 finally B=6 after 10 years 6+10= 16 years.

advanced: a+b+c=21 avg increases by 5 so sum by 15 as 3 variables age increases simultaneously so total sum is 36 but age of all a,b,c are not equal so , if b is x after 5 years then after 5 years sum of a and c ages =3+2x and 3+2x+x=3+3x=36. hence x=11 and b (current)=x-5=6 and after 10 years 6+10=16 years
