She keeps 1/4th = 9
2/3 of the fish she keeps are trout = 2/3*9 = 6

She releases remaining = 27
1/3 of the fish she releases are trout = 1/3*27 = 9

So, Total trout fish = 6 + 9 = 15

Fraction of trout fish = 15/36 = 5/12

IMO Option A.

The ratio of fish she releases is 1-1/4 = 3/4. So the ratio of catches to trout is 1: 1/4*2/3 + 3/4*1/3 = 1:5/12 IMO A
