Given Set Y = {2, 4, 6, 8}
Mean of Y = (4 + 6)/2 = 5
Deviation of terms from Mean = {2-5, 4-5, 6-5, 8-5}
= {-3, -1, 1, 3}
I. {22, 24, 26, 28}
Mean = (24 + 26)/2 = 25
Deviation of terms from Mean = {22-25, 24-25, 26-25, 28-25}
= {-3, -1, 1, 3}
So, Standard Deviation is same as Y
II. {-4, -2, -8, -6, -10}
Arrange in ascending order = {-10, -8, -6, -4, -2}
Mean = -6
Deviation of terms from Mean = {-4, -2, 0, 2, 4}
So, Standard Deviation is more than Y
III. {0, 2, 4, 6}
Mean = (2 + 4)/2 = 3
Deviation of terms from Mean = {0-3, 2-3, 4-3, 6-3}
= {-3, -1, 1, 3}
So, Standard Deviation is same as Y
IMO Option E.

Set Y and all the sets in the options have exact difference of 2 between its elements. So the standard deviation will the the same for all. IMO Option E
