A. 8
B. 9
C. 10
D. 11

Let us assume that Bansi ran b km and Sandi ran s km.

We can let n = the number of kilometers Sade ran and create the equation:

n + n - 8 = 30

2n = 38

n = 19

So, Bansi ran 19 - 8 = 11 kilometers,

Maybe too many steps, but I did it this way; I try to use X and Y because my hand writing is terrible.

X = Bansi
Y = Sade
X + Y = 30

X = Y - 8

(Y - 8) + Y = 30
2Y = 38
Y = 19

30 - 19 = 11, X = 11
