This is an easy question on the concept of Simple Average. But, these are actually the questions you need to solve, if you think your knowledge of average concepts is not sound and that you want to develop a good foundation in it.
Simple Average (or just Average) = \(\frac{Sum of all values}{Number of values}\).
In case of the question we have, we know that we have 3 values, since we have 3 lawyers. We know their average earning to be $300 per hour.
Average Earning = \(\frac{Sum of earnings}{Number of people}\)
300 = \(\frac{Sum of earnings}{3}\)
Therefore, we can say that the sum of earnings of the 3 lawyers = 300 * 3 = $900.
But, the above total earnings are for 1 hour. Therefore, after 4 hours, their total earnings HAS to be $3600.
The correct answer option is D.

so for 4 hours ; 4*900; 3600
