The table shows the numbers of greeting cards for various occasions sold at a certain store last year. According to the table, for which of the following occasions was the number of cards sold closest to 1/12 of the number of birthday cards sold?

A. Valentine's Day
B. Secretary's Day
C. Mother's Day
D. Father's Day
E. Graduation

We see that the number of birthday cards sold is 2,200, and 1/12 of that is approximately 200 (notice that 1/12 of 2,400 is exactly 200). Since 185 is closest to 200, the occasion is Secretary's Day.

Answer: B
