Given,
angle BCD = 1/2 angle BAD
Let angle BCD = x
Then, BAD = 2x
In order to work out this on , one needs to draw an angle bisector from A to E on BC.
AECD is a parallelogram . Therefore , AD = EC = 7.
Since , BC and AD are parallel thus angle BAD = Angle BEA. Since , AB = 5, EB = 5 too.
BC = BE + EC = 5 + 7 = 12.
Thus B is the best option.
