In this question, we are given that
 • A milk-man mixes milk and water in the ratio 5 : 3

To find  
We need to determine
 • The percentage of milk in the resulting mixture

Approach and Working out  
In the mixture, if milk is 5n and water is 3n, then
 • The volume of mixture = 5n + 3n = 8n
• Hence, percentage of milk in the mixture = (5n/8n) x 100 = 62.5%

Thus, option B is the correct answer.
