Solution

Given
    • The property prices appreciate at a rate of 7% per annum.
    • I bought a house in the year 2003 which had cost me Rs. 10,00,000 at that time.

To find
    • The approximate cost three years later.

Approach and Working out

Let in 2004 city population was x.

    • After one year, price will increase 7%.
    • After second years, price will increase 7% further.
      o And, net increase will be = 7 +7 +49/100 = 14.5%
    • After third year, price will increase 7% further.
      o And, net increase will be = 14.5 +7 +14.5*7/100 = 22.5%

22.5% of 10,00,000 = 225000

Hence, increased price = 1225000

Thus, option C is the correct answer.
Correct Answer: Option C

I fell for a trap answer with 3 as a digit since 1.07 cube will have a 3 in it. I ignored "approximately"
