20 litres contains 10% water and 90% sprite which means 18 litres of sprite and 2 litres of water.
The water amount to add making the water level rise upto 25% is
18*100/75= 24 (since sprite level is going to be same, the 18 litres will be the 75%. And reverse percentage formula give away the total litres to which 18litres is 75%)
So four litres of water should be added.
OA is A

A 20 litters mixture of water and spirit contains 10% water. How much water must be added to this mixture to raise the percentage of water to 25%?

A. 4 litters
B. 5 litters
C. 8 litters
D. 30 litters
E. 32 litters

given
total = 20 ltrs
water= 2 ltrs
now target is to make water % = 25 % of total
so
2+x/20+x = 25/100
solve for x = 4 liters
IMO A

20*0.1+X=(20+X)*0.25
2+X=5+0.25X
X=4
