Given: A mixture, 729 ml in volume, contains milk and water in the ratio 7:2.
Asked: How much more water is to be added to get a new mixture containing milk and water in the ratio 7:3?
In 729 ml volume mixture:
Milk = 7*81 = 567 ml
Water = 2*81 = 162 ml
Water in a new mixture to make the ratio 7:3 = 567:243 ml
Water to be added = 243 - 162 = 81 ml

out of 729 ml
milk = 729 * 7/9 = 567 ml
and water = 729*2/9 = 162 ml
now new ratio
567/ 162+x = 7/3
solve for x = 81 ml
