Hello Bunuel,

Isn't the net distance 150+150 = 300m,
When the first train comes at the nose of second train, from then both the trains will be having common distance of 100m, so we don't have to consider that 100m

100-meter long train A and 150-meter long train B are moving towards each other, at 54 km/h and 36 km/h respectively. How long will it take the trains to pass each other if the distance between them is 150 meters?

A. 16 seconds
B. 12 seconds
C. 10 seconds
D. 8 seconds
E. 6 seconds

Hello Bunuel,

The net distance is not 300 meters. When calculating the distance for the trains to pass each other, you need to account for the length of both trains as well as the initial distance between them. This means you must consider the total length of the two trains plus the distance between them, not just doubling the initial distance.
