What is the least number x for which \((2x + 1)(x - 2) = 0\) ?

A. -2

B. -1

C. \(- \frac{1}{2}\)

D. \(\frac{1}{2}\)

E. 2

Objective must be to either make \((2x + 1)\) = 0 Or \((x - 2) = 0\) ; hence the 2 possible values are \(x = -\frac{1}{2}\) & \(x = 2\)

Thus, Answer must be (C)
