Question said 2 different kind of food slice in a plate...can you please break down the slice break up. (3a+4o+p=6)
Because, acc. to my calculation:

Case 1-
for 8 guest Ao
for 1 guest ap
then 4 peach left
does not satisfy the different criterion

Case-2

for 5 people ap
for 4 guest ao
4 oranges left
again does not satisfy

Case -3

for 5 people op
for 3 people ao
6 apples left
does not satisfy

Can you please explain where did I falter?
Akshayiray
To determine the least no of people no of slices should be minimum.

and to minimize the number of slices keep the no of apples to maximum... sum of total slices should be in multiple of two.

3 apples 9 pieces
2 oranges 8 slices
1 pear 5 slices

sums up to 22 slices and can be divided into 11 plates hence 11 people.

ans B

Pair 6 guests with (A, O)
3 guests with (A, P)
2 guests with (O, P)

Apple = 6 + 3 = 9
Orange = 6 + 2 = 8
Pear = 3 + 2 = 5

All the slices used ensuring no leftovers and each guest receiving two different slices of fruit!
