    • The number of votes that candidate Q receives.


Approach and Working Out
    • If we add all the percentages it comes up to 88 + x.

    o This must add up to 100%
    o x = 100 – 88 = 12%


    • Number of votes that Q receives,
      = 12% of 200,000 = 24000
