Find the area of each garden and then their costs.
Grace:
→ Area = 2 × 30 = 60 sq ft
→ Cost = 60/15 × $10 = $40 per month
Ashley:
→ Area = 40 × 6 = 240 sq ft
→ Cost = 240/15 × $10 = $160 per month
Therefore, the difference is $120 per month. Over one year, the difference is 12 × $120 = $1440.

Explanation:
Excess area of Ashley's garden than area of Grace's garden=(60*4)-(30*2)=180 sq. feet
Now ,Monthly cost to maintain a certain type of garden=$10/(15 feet) i.e $2/(3 feet) per month
So ,Monthly cost to maintain Excess area of Ashley's garden than area of Grace's garden=180*2/3 =120$/month
thus yearly cost=120*12=$1440
Hence E is the correct answer.
