Let money with Brian = x, then money with Jane=x+400
Accordingly if Jane gives 20% of her money to Brian, money with jane= 0.8(x+400)=0.8x+320 and money with Brian=x+0.2(x+400)=1.2x+80
Also given that 1.2x+80=2(0.8x+320)/3
On solving x=200
hence money with Brian before = 200
