↧↧↧ Detailed Video Solution to the Problem ↧↧↧

Given that a dice is thrown thrice and We need to find what is the probability of getting a sum greater than 4?

As we are rolling three dice => Number of cases = \(6^3\) = 216

Out of these 216 outcomes there are only few outcomes which are less than or equal to 4. Lets find those outcomes first. Following are the outcomes:
(1,1,1), (1,1,2), (1,2,1), (2,1,1) => 4 outcomes

=> 216 - 4 = 212 outcomes are such that their sum will be greater than 4

=> Probability of getting a sum greater than 4 = \(\frac{212}{216}\) = \(\frac{53}{54}\)

So, Answer will be D
Hope it helps!
