Solution

Given
In this question, we are given that
    • In a certain parking lot, 540 cars have in-state license plates, while the remaining 180 have out-of-state license plates

To find
We need to determine
    • The percent of the cars in the parking lot have out-of-state license plates

Approach and Working out
Number of in-state cars = 540
Number of out-of-state cars = 180
    • Total number of cars = 540 + 180 = 720
    • Hence, percentage of cars with out-of-state license plate = 180/720 * 100 = 25%

Thus, option B is the correct answer.

Correct Answer: Option B
