last month company sold three-quarters of the widgets, So widgets that went unsold = one-quarter
It sold two-third of curved widgets so unsold curved widgets equal one-third of total curved widgets produced.
Now total curved widgets in a batch = three-fifth.
So unsold curved widgets = 1/3*3/5 = 1/5
percentage = unsold curved widgets/total unsold widgets *100
= 1/5/1/4*100 = 4/5*100 = 80%

Took me an unnecessarily long amount of time.
Here's how I did it.

[3/5x - 2/3(3/5x)] / (x - 3/4x)
= 12/15
= 80%

Answer is D.

I floundered around a bit but found picking a number to apply percentages to worked fairly easily.

Assume 1,000 total.
Sold = 75% = 750
Not sold = 25% = 250
Curved produced = 60% = 600
Curved sold = 66.7% of 600 = 400
Curved not sold / Total not sold = (200/250)*100 = 80%

To solve, pick a number that is divisible by 3, 4, and 5, and establish that as the total number of widgets produced last month. (The LCM of 3, 4, and 5 is 60, so use that.) Then fill in, starting with the totals for each group. Then insert 24 in sold and curved, using the fact that two-thirds of 45 were curved. Finally, answer the proper question, which asks what percent of the widgets not sold (15) were curved (12). 12/15 = 80%
