If 6 persons working 8 hours a day earn 8400 per week, then 9 persons working 6 hours a day will earn per week

(A) 8400
(B) 9450
(C) 16200
(D) 16800
(E) 17200
Solution:

We can see that each person’s hourly wage is:

8400 / (6 x 8 x 7) = 8400/336 = $25

Therefore, 9 persons working 6 hours a day will earn 25 x (9 x 6 x 7) = $9,450 per week.

Solution:

Using M1D1/W1=M2D2/W2

6∗8/8400=9∗6/x

x=9∗6∗8400/6∗8=9450 (option b)

Therefore, 9 * 6 manhours earning = \(8400 * \frac{48 }{ 54} =9450\)
