30 men take 15 days to complete a job working at the rate of 3 h per day. How much time would 18 men, who work for 6 h per day, take to complete the same job?

(A) 10 days
(B) 25/2 days
(C) 51/4 days
(D) 13 days
(E) 14 days

30 men ..... 15 days ..... 3 hrs
18 men ..... ??? days ..... 6 hrs

No of days = 15 * (30/18) * (3/6) = 25/2 days

(A) 10 days
(B) 25/2 days
(C) 51/4 days
(D) 13 days
(E) 14 days

Explanation: A pretty simple logic that requires equating man-hours involved i.e

30 men*3 hrs/day*15 days=18 men*6 hrs/day*(K no.of days)
K=30*3*15/18*6
K=25/2 days

Hence B is the correct answer.

case 1 : 30 men are working for 3 hr per day for 15 days
case 2 : 18 men are working for 6 hr per day for x days
so case 2 men are working 2 times than case 1 men, so lets consider 18*2 men are working for 3 hr

case 1 work = 30 * 15
case 2 work = 18*2 * x

work done is same for both the cases

30* 15 = 18*2 * x
x = 25/2
