Solution:
If the annual rate of interest is same(here x%),the CI and SI at the end of first year are equal and hence the difference is 0.(option e)
By theory
SI in this case = P*x*1/100 =Px/100
CI in this case = P { (1+r/100)^1 -1}
= P{(1+x/100)^1 -1} = Px/100
=>SI-CI= 0(option e)
