Given: The price of two cups, seven pans and four saucers is Rs. 110 while of one cup and two saucers is Rs. 20.
Asked: Find the price of three pans.

Let the price of a cup, a pan and a saucer be c, p & s respectively
2c + 7p + 4s = 110
c + 2s = 20
2c + 4s = 40
7p = (2c + 7p + 4s) - (2c + 4s) = 100 - 40 = 70
p = 10
3p = 30
The price of 3 pans is Rs 30

IMO A
