Considering the answer wants an average speed that does not include rest time, the answer is a simple average of the
given average speeds of each mode of transportation. Therefore,
ANS = (60+45+20+40+75)/5
= 48 km/hr
= D

To find the overall average speed, we need to calculate Total Distance over Total time.
The total distance is \(210 + 195 + 90 + 250 + 300 = 300 + 300 + 250 + 200 - 5 = 1045 \text{ km}\).
The total time is \(\frac{210}{60} + \frac{195}{45} + \frac{90}{20} + \frac{250}{40} + \frac{300}{75} = 3.5 + \frac{13}{3} + 4.5 + 6.25 + 4 = 22.583 \text{ hours}\).
Finally, the average speed is \(1945/22.583 \approx 46 \text{ km/h}\).
