Turning off the heat in 5 rooms out of 20 rooms means that we're saving 1/4 of our wood. In other words, we're burning 3/4 as much wood as originally planned, and therefore we'll be able to stretch out our time to 4/3 as much as originally planned, or 1/3 longer.

Reasoning: \((Wood / Day) * (Number Of Days) = Total Amount Of Wood\)
So Wood/Day has a reciprocal relationship with the number of days.

This is a lot more intuitive with integers, for example: if we burn 1/5 as much wood per day, we can make it last 5 times as many days.
By the same logic: if we burn 3/4 as much wood per day, we can make it last 4/3 as much time.

The question wants the number of extra, FULL days, so let's round down 1/3 of 14 days to the nearest integer.
The answer is 4 (B).

Let 1 unit of wood is used per room per day.

20 rooms would use 20 units in 1 day.
20 rooms would use (20 x 14) = 280 units in 14 days.

15 rooms would use 15 units per day.
15 rooms would use (15 x 14) = 210 units in 14 days.

Wood Left = 280 - 210 = 70 units.

70 units to be used by 15 rooms.
So, In 1 FULL day one room would use 15 units.
70 is not divisible by 15 as there would be some wood left, which cannot be used for a full day.
So (15 x 4) = 60 units can be used max for FULL DAYS.

Hence 4 FULL Days can be used! Option B
