The value of an investment decreased from $1,800 to $1,610.

The value decrease = 1800 - 1610 = 190

In order to find approximate percentage change, it's always better to start with 10 % of the number as its very easy to find.

10 % of any Number = Number /10

% change = (Value change/initial value) * 100
Here the initial value = 1800
value change = 190
Here, 10 % of 1800 = 180
To be exact, 1 % of 1800 = 18 Note: 1 % of a Number = Number/100
So 190 will be approximate 11 % of 1800

Option B is the right answer.

Also we can clearly eliminate other options as we know that % decrease is only slightly more than 10 %. The only Option that's close to our assumption is B
