If p is the average (arithmetic mean) of the first 12 positive multiples of 6 and if P is the median of the first 12 positive multiples of 6, what is the value of P − p ?

Consider set X = (multiples of 6 until 12) = (6,..........,72)
Since it is evenly spaced, Mean(p) = \(\frac{78}{6}\) = 39
Median of X(P) = \(\frac{(6 + 7) item}{ 2}\) = 39
So, the difference P -p = 39 -39 = 6
Answer: C

If it's an evenly spaced set: Mean = Median. So, difference = 0
I think you have made a typo while finding the median of X. It should be (6th+7th)/2
