Female students = 80 ; Male students = 120

10% of the class consists of female non-American students , ie 20 students are female non-American students ; thus there are 60 female American students

3/5th of the class are American students , ie 120 American students out of which 60 are female American students, so there must be 60 male american student, Answer must be (C)
