Right Angled Proportionality: If we drop a perpendicular to the hypotenuse then all the angles created will be proportional to each other.

Triangle ADC is a right-angled triangle. We drop a perpendicular to point C. Thus we can say that DE^2 = AC x EC

DE = 5√3 (after using Pythagoras theorem for triangle ADE). So we get 75 = 5 x EC (Right Angled Proportionality)

Hence EC = 15

Correct answer: (C)
