By weighted average principles, because the new person is 1/40 of the group, the new person's weight will shift the overall average 1/40 of the way to his weight. Since 30 kg and 130 kg are 100 apart, we'll be adding 1/40 of 100 to 30 kg, so the answer is 30 + 2.5 = 32.5.
