Can somebody explain where am i going wrong in the below:-
Price at store C - 100
therefore, price at store A - 112.5 which is 125% of Price at Store B
Therefore:- 112.5*100/125 - 89

Now C higher than B
(100-89)/89 *100 = 12.35% which is close to 12.5%

therefore answer D

I think you should handle it this way:
If store C = 100

then store A is 112.5

to get price of store B we compare the price of A as 125% then we look for 100% ( which will be store B)
if 125% ------------------ 112.5
what about 100% --------------------?

from the cross multiplication:
(112.5x100%)/125% = 90

therefore the price for the shirt in store B is $90

difference is of store C and store B $10

(10/90)*100 = 11.11111%
