I also got D. 3600.

Subtract 13.50 from 40.50. $40.50 - $13.50 = $27.00

27 divided by .0075

You can change .0075 into a non decimal by moving the decimal point 4 places to the right.

.0075 -> 75

and then do the same thing for 27

27 -> 270,000

270,000 / 75 = 3600
