A team has a food stock for N number of days. After 15 days, 1/4 th of the team quits and the food lasted for another N number of days for the remaining persons in the team. What is the value of N ?

(A) 50
(B) 60
(C) 70
(D) 80
(E) 90
x n of people
R rate each person
N number of days
xRN-15Rx=0.75xRN
solve equation N=60, I spent most of the time in setting up the equation

P = Persons
N = Days

Total Stock = P x N
Consumption 1 = P x 15 = 15P
Left stock = P x N (Total Stock) - 15P (Consumption 1) = PN - 15P = P x (N-15)

Consumption 2 = 3/4P x N

When is the left stock after consumption 1 completely gone?

Left Stock = Consumption 2

P x (N-15) = 3/4P x N

N-15 = 3/4N
1/4N = 15 | x 4
N = 60

Bunuel. Could you provide a quick solution to this? I took like 7 mins to solve the problem even though it's an easy question
after 15 days the amount of food will last even for N days for the remaining people 3/4.
It means that 1/4 of food stock is consumed in 15 days. So to consume the whole stock it will take 15*4=60 days
