Bus travels at 45kmph
=> 45 km in 1 hour
=> 1 km in \(\frac{1}{45} hours\)
Let us convert hours to minutes now by multiplying the hour with 60
=> 1 km in \(\frac{4}{3} minutes \)
=> 0.25 km in \(\frac{1}{3} minutes\)
So the bus takes \(\frac{1}{3}\) minutes to reach 250m and then stops for 1 minute
So, for every 250m, time taken = \(1 + \frac{1}{3} = \frac{4}{3} minutes\)
And 1 km means repeating the 250m part four times = \(\frac{4}{3}*4 = 16/3\)
Now the bus rides 6km in total so if we took the above time for 1km, for 6km, we multiply the above result by 6
= \(\frac{16}{3}*6 = 32\)
We need to find time taken by bus to cover 6km
But with the above we have taken into consideration and added AN EXTRA MINUTE for when the bus stops for a minute after reaching the 6km mark because bus stops after every 250m
We have to subtract this because once the bus reaches 6km, our goal it to find that time, not to include stoppage after that
So, time = \(32 - 1 = 31\)

The bus travels at 45kmph
In one minute the bus travels = 45/60 km/min = 3/4km = 750 m
Hence the bus travels 250 m in 20 seconds
Now for the 1st km, the bus stops 3 times (once at 250m, 500m, and 750m each).
Total time taken (in seconds) = 20 * 4 + 60 * 3 = 80 + 180 = 260 seconds
From second km onwards the bus stops 4 times (beginning, 250m, 500m, and 750m)
Total time taken (in seconds) = 20 * 4 + 60 * 4 = 80 + 240 = 320 seconds
The time taken for the second km is repeated for 3rd till 6th km, hence the time taken for 2nd till 6th km = 320 * 5 = 1600 seconds
Total time taken in journey of 6 km = 260 + 1600 = 1860sec = 31 minutes
