Working individually, Abe, Bosky, and Chris could do the same job in 12, 24 and 36 hours respectively. They decided to work in cycles of 3 hours with each person working exactly for an hour in a cycle. If they could start the work in any order and only one person works on the job at any given time, what was the minimum amount of time in which the job could be completed?

Let total work be 72 Units (LCM of 12,24,36)
Amount of work done by Abe in 1 hour=72/12= 6 U
Amount of work done by Bosky in 1 hour=72/24= 3 U
Amount of work done by Chris in 1 hour=72/36= 2 U
They decided to work in cycles of 3 hours with each person working exactly for an hour in a cycle. If they could start the work in any order and only one person works on the job at any given time,
6+3+2= 11 U work done in a 3 hour cycle.
11*6= 66 U will be completed in 6 cycles or 6*3= 18 hours
72-66= 6U= work left
If the cycle had started with Abe,Last 6U can be completed by Abe in 1 hour.
So the minimum amount time taken to complete the work= 18+1= 19 hours.
Answer should be option B
