As the team had planned to clean 700 cars each week but was able to clean 550 cars, a deficient of 150 (700 - 550) cars added each week.
This deficit needs to be addressed to meet the target in the next three weeks.
As per the original plan, the team were supposed to clean 2100 (i.e. 700 * 3) cars in the next three weeks. The extra 2100 cars, is the backlog.
150 * number of weeks passed = 2100
number of weeks passed = \(\frac{2100 }{ 150}\) = 14
Number of weeks in plan = 14 + 3 = 17
