$1 = 8.5/12 of what we'd need for a gazoo.
100 gazoos * 12/8.5 = 1200/8.5 = 141
Answer choice D.

Not silly at all...would be silly if you didn't understand and decided NOT to ask!!
$1 gets us 8 grotniks and 8 kronkheits.
12 grotniks gets us a gazoo. We have 8 grotniks plus enough kronkheits to get half of another grotnik. So we have 8.5 of the 12 grotniks required to get a gazoo. 8.5/12
