In such questions having events A, B and C, where probability of either A or B event is asked, one can arrive at answer by simply caluclating
P(A or B) = 1- P (C)

In this case
Event A = model airplane
Event B = dolls
Event C = toy soliders

This is a simple question, so this approach may not be very attractive but in 700-800+ level questions, a significant lead may be taken by this approach.
