Let "a" represent Arun's age in 1995 and "r" represent Rahi's age in 1995. Then a=3r.
Now in 2023, their ages will be a+28=3r+28 and r+28 respectively. We know that both these numbers are prime.
However, let's now focus on what has been asked. We are not asked the individual ages of either people but rather the sum of their ages.
So what we need to find is 3r+28+r+28=4r+56.
Now let's look at the options. Given that these are ages and can't be negative, there is only one option that can satisfy this expression, i.e. 60, with r=1.
So, you can mark Option E with very basic and minimal calculation, taking just a minute to solve!
