The ratio of apples, bananas, cantaloupes, and oranges at a fruit stand is 5:3:2:6, respectively. The total number of these fruits is 64. If 4 cantaloupes are added to the fruit stand, what is the new ratio of bananas to cantaloupes?

A. 1 : 2
B. 2 : 3
C. 1 : 1
D. 3 : 2
E. 2 : 1

Given: The ratio of Apples, Bananas, Cantaloupes, and oranges is 5:3:2:6
          The total no. of fruits is 64

To Find:  New Ratio of Bananas to Cantaloupes

Solution :   Lets take  5x + 3X + 2X + 6X = 64
                                                        X  = 64/16 = 4

So, no. of Cantaloupes               = 2*4    = 8 And, if we add 4 to 8 then we will get 12

      No. of Bananas                    = 3*4   = 12

So, the new ratio of Bananas to Cantaloupes is 12:12 which is 1:1

Option C is the correct answer
