But, shouldnt we get I also correct if we inverse the inequality III?

No. Taking reciprocals reverses an inequality only when the two sides have the same sign (and neither is 0).

For example, a = 2 and b = 1:

a > -b gives 2 > -1, which is true.

But taking reciprocals would give

1/2 < -1,

which is false.

So III does not imply I. Answer C is correct.

We can negate I by just reordering III

a > -b
1/b > -1/a

this -1/b < 1/a. ie opposite of I is true. although we can only get to that once we solve III is always true
