Let the candidates who know only English are 'a'
Let the candidates who know only spanish are 'b'
Let the candidates who know are bilingual are 'c'
From the given data we know that
a + c = 144 ----- (1)
b + c = 150 ----- (2)
a + b + c =294 --(3)
we need to find c=?
equation 1 + equation 2 -equation 3 will give us c
(a+c)+(b+c) -(a+b+c) = 144 +150 -294
c= 54
Option C is answer
