The table shows the number of minutes needed to bake one batch of three different types of food in a bakery. Cookies and bread can be baked simultaneously, and so can bread and muffins, but cookies and muffins cannot be baked simultaneously. What is the least number of minutes required to bake 18 batches of cookies, 8 batches of bread, and 10 batches of muffins?
A. 340
B. 360
C. 380
D. 400

Basically, the aim of the problem is to find out the lowest combination of backing time. We know that only the bread can be cooked at the same time with muffins and cookies and we have in total for each cooking time 180 miniutes for the cookies, 200 minutes for muffins, and 360 minutes for the bread. then, calculate wich amount of time is longest between cooking muffins and cookies (because both of them can't be cooked together) or only bread (because it can be cooked with cookie and muffins). We get 380 minutes for cookies and muffins (wich is the longest). and here is our solution (golly gosh, life is good!)

Time needed to cook \(8\) batches of bread \(= 8*45 = 360\)
While the breads are baking we can bake \(10\) batches of muffins and \(16\) batches of cookies respectively,
\(10*20 + 16*10= 360\)
Remaining \(2\) batches of cookies will be baked solo and take a time of \(20 \) minutes.
Hence min. time to complete our requirement \(= 360+20 =380 \)
Ans C
( if you baked cookies first and then muffins, then you would have \(1\) batch of muffin left to bake and that too would require \(20\) min. more than \(360\), thus you would arrive at the same answer)
