A invested 5x per month for the first 4 months => 4 * 5x = 20x

A increases his investment per month by 60% => 1.6 * 5x = 8x

For remaining 8 months A invests 8x per month => 8 * 8x = 64x

Total investment by A in a year = 20x + 64x = 84x

B invested 7x per month for the first 4 months => 4 * 7x = 28x

B decreases his investment per month by 25% => 0.75 * 7x = 5.25x

For remaining 8 months B invests 5.25x per month => 8 * 5.25x = 42x

Total investment by B in a year = 28x + 42x = 70x

A's investment : B's investment = 84x:70x = 6:5

A's share of Profit = \(\frac{6}{11}*62400\) = approx. $34,000
