Currently, there are 45 boys and 5 girls
Let's say we add X boys more to make proportion of girls as 5%
5/(45 + 5 + X) = 5% = 1/20
X = 50
(A) is the answer

Currently No. Of Boys = 90 % of 50 =45
No. of girls = 50-45=5
acc to question: they want these 5 girls to be 5% of the total children.
From here we can simply understand that the total needs to be 100 so that 5 can be 5%.So the no. of boys needed to be added is 50.
OR
We can solve it like
5/50+x= 5/100
50+x=100
x=50 (option A)
