great way to get the question done. I took a similar approach!

Let us assume compound interest rate be r% per annum

5000 = 3200(1+r%)^2

so (1+r%)^2 is equal to 25/16, so (1+r%) is equal to 5/4, so equal to 1.25
r is therefore equal to 25%.

notice that the 25% of 5000 is exactly 1250, so by compounding at the same rate for another year we will meet the goal.
