How many students are enrolled for none of the three activities?

Translate the information:

the number of students enrolled for all the three is thrice the number of students enrolled for none of the three activities

All three: 3x

None: x

Choose the appropriate overlapping sets formula:

Since the provided information is on the numbers enrolled in exactly one, two, three, and none of the activities, we can use the following formula:

Total = Exactly 1 + Exactly 2 + Exactly 3 + None

Set up the equation and solve:

100 = 60 + 28 + 3x + x

12 = 4x

3 = x

A. 0
B. 3
C. 6
D. 9
E. 15

Correct answer: B
