Let’s us assume the ratio for professional laptop : Student Laptop

Price = 3 : 2

Quantity = P : S

Revenue = 3*P : 2*S

Given that professional laptop = (3/4) of total revenue.

Which means the revenue ratio of professional laptop : Student laptop = 3 : 1

(3P/2S) = (3/1)

We get P = 2S

Total quantity = P+ S = 3S

Now, the sales have increased.

Professional laptop =3% increases = 1.03 P = 1.03 (2S) = 2.06S

Student laptop = 12% increase = 1.12 S

Total quantity = 3.18 S

% increase = (3.18 S - 3S)/ (3S) = 0.18 /3 = 6%
